Frances will present a comprehensive session on land registration in a post-2012 Act era with emphasis on how solicitors can minimise pitfalls, risk and liability. Topics covered will include reliance on the Land Register; liability under the new Act; dealing with registration of new and existing title conditions and encumbrances; the Keeper's warranty and what it does and does not cover; how and when the Register can be rectified; how to deal with titles that were registered under the 1979 Act; Advance Notices; and some common pitfalls that can lead to rejection.
