Frances Rooney, formerly of Harper Macleod and founding member of Lexares LLP, is a recognised expert on land registration and property law. She regularly speaks at CPD events and is a prolific property law author, counting the Conveyancing volume of the Stair Memorial Encyclopaedia among her publications.
Frances will present a session on title examination in a post-2012 Act era. Topics covered will include when to look behind the land registered title to the Sasine deeds; validity of deeds and titles; when Midas Touch can still protect your client; ongoing enforceability of old title conditions; and how to present the title to the Keeper to minimise the chance of rejection.
The event begins at 2pm. Delegate registration is open from 1:30pm.
