At some point, the Scottish Government is going to give the green light for businesses and venues to re-open and employers who shut down or reduced operations will be focussing their attention on their staff requirements and how to reopen their workplaces. It’s unlikely that this will be a smooth process; the end of the furlough scheme and a realisation that, in some instances, work can be undertaken by fewer employers, will see the loss of jobs. In addition, some employees are going to feel nervous about returning to the workplace while others will prefer, for a variety of reasons, to continue to work from home, if even for part of the working week. Donna has specialised in employment law for 15 years and regularly appears in the employment tribunals for both employers and employees.
